Introduction
Words carry real power, meaning and information. Together, a group of words can tell a vivid story. In this assignment each student will be given a keyword or phrase (scroll down) related to the Holocaust to research. As a class, we will piece together the words and learn about the larger theme.
Assignment: Each student will be given a word/phrase to research and will produce:
1) A Poster (on cardboard or online)
2) Questions about the information in their poster.

STEP THREE:
Create 3 questions, to be handed in to the teacher, based on your research
1) One question that asks students to recall facts
2) One that asks students to summarize an idea in a few sentences
3) One that includes a critical thinking structure (see chart above)
STEP FOUR: Your teacher will amalgamate all questions into a fill in sheet. Posters will be put up as a gallery in the classroom (in a computer lab if posters are online). Students will scan the posters and fill in the sheets.
STEP FIVE: ESSAY TEST
There will be an open book inclass essay test on the Holocaust. Please bring in all your notes (filled in sheet) .
