This semester you will carefully choose, and read a well-written or interpretive novel that will:
- Grab you, inspire you, make you want to read more...
- Be so interesting that you won’t mind struggling along a bit: re-reading passages, and looking up the odd word...
- Take you out of yourself and into the author’s world.
So...Find the right match. Don’t settle for less. You deserve a good book.
You can look right now at the library collection - key in the author, title or subject (+ fiction)( e.g. war - fiction). Or try the Public Library.
Your choice must be approved by Mr. Ewert or Ms. Comfort.
Our library has a terrific collection of award-winning books. If you would like to reserve a book, contact the library.
Here is another list of basic books that we recommend all students read before leaving high school.
Assignment:

- You will be compiling a list of 100 challenging words. Here is your Silent Reading Vocabulary Assignment.
