- Overview School libraries and learners in Canada & elsewhere
- Introduction integrated group project
- *Possible overview of Canadian school libraries done by two
Indonesian co-facilitators Alfida and Solihin Arianto (e.g. field
reports from the team that visited Canada in Spring 2007)
- *Possible visit to local school libraries

Part II — Connections: looking deeper into the issues

- Connections—Connecting the library, the classroom & out of school life
- Curriculum: 21st Century Literacies and Libraries—Part 1—information literacy, evolving technologies& multi literacies
- Curriculum: connecting national and local curriculum to libraries

- Reflective Practitioners—using competencies (professional standards) for self-evaluations and evaluations of practice and IAIN
- Development of competency requirements in specific areas as needed
- Participant work on integrated group project—if ready, final presentations
- Possible visit to local school libraries
