I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.

Students spent the day in the company of thirty other learners, but when it comes right down to it, each child is essentially alone, with their curiosity. A teacher's struggle is to find one-on-one time for each and every child, and to develop strategies to allow for their differences, and to give students choices. Thus individualized learning.
INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING is defined as: Providing the student with multiple learning paths, multiple representations of content, multiple strategies, and multiple options for engagement and motivation to meet one objective.

How Online Computers Facilitate Individualized Learning
TEACHING MACHINES
Dumb interactive drones, computers repeat tasks over and over, and give students the opportunity to practise as much as they need, and then to be provided with helpful feedback. Some specialized simulation sites are virtually "teaching machines."
Interactive defined - A student action triggers an event from which the student makes a new decision and facilitates a new action.
More about educational simulations.
ADAPTATIONS
Built to meet human needs computers adapt text and images (including your posted lessons) such as font size and grayscale. They perform applications such as text-to-speech programs, spell-checks and translation.
WWW - A MASSIVE GLOBAL LIBRARY
Our students are free to pursue anything of interest, no matter how esoteric. Inquiry-driven lessons require individual commitment and are naturally supported by resource-based learning.
ONLINE COMMUNICATION
Between student, teacher and peers expand beyond the physical classroom and regular school day and out into the larger community.
