Digitization has meant the levelling and merging of published information. We witness daily the dissolving of the extant formats ( books/ebooks, editorials/blogs, radio broadcasts/podcasts.)
Databases collect, sort, edit and make accessible excellent data that we, and our students need and use everyday.
Some databases are proprietory, some free; some easy to get into, others more difficult. One thing is for sure - no one knows what our options will be next year at this time.
WHY INTEGRATE STUDENT RESEARCH INTO THE CONTENT OF YOUR LESSON?
WHY USE ONLINE MAGAZINE ARTICLES OR BOOK EXCERPTS IN THE CLASSROOM
Here is an inspiring digitization/database project from UNESCO.
