RESEARCH YOUR ROLE
Today everyone will do research in order to prepare for the upcoming election. In order to be a knowledgeable voter/candidate/reporter you will need to know your stuff.
Candidates and campaign managers/workers
Find out the following things about your party and candidates:
Age, residence, family, educational background, occupation, record of public service, political party affiliation, reasons for seeking this post, platform. Start thinking about a campaign speech
Research all the parties and discover just what their platforms are. Find out where they sit on the political spectrum and find out which party most suits your own personal beliefs. You may want to think about questions to ask the candidates, should you get the chance.
Promises, promises, promises:
All of these candidates have promised a lot of things to the people of BC. Your job is to be very critical and find weaknesses in their platforms.
Also, are there any scandals that may dog the parties/leaders in the election? Your job is to find out, and prepare a list of questions for those who seek to lead us.
